Loveda Brown once again uses her amateur sleuthing skills to catch a killer. This time, sorority girls descend on Idyllwild. When one is murdered, the local lawman, Loveda’s friend, is on the hot seat because the Hemet police chief happens to be on the scene and decides to run the case. And he doesn’t think much of civilians, especially ladies, getting involved in detective work. Loveda, intrepid and independent, is not deterred. A murderer lurks in the woods around her town, and she is determined to catch him. Following along to solve the mystery is fun, since there are enough-but not too many-twists and turns. There are also mules, a rowdy young boy, and an injured fiance. All of the characters spring to life. Highly recommend!
