Shoes, gunshots, and confusion

Love her!
My favorite genre is historical fiction, so when I discovered this book based in my hometown I had to read it! Now I’m in Book 3 and enjoying each chapter. Marvelous mystery in 1912 California
An artfully crafted mystery set in the not-quite-so-old west. The author does well in casting suspicion on a number of characters before finally revealing the culprit. The confrontation with the protagonist is thrilling. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series!
