Loveda Brown’s death was greatly exaggerated. But that doesn’t stop the skeletons in her closet from celebrating.
With Loveda Brown’s wedding only three weeks away, the tiny mountainside town of Idyllwild, California, as yet the Wild West of 1912, is shocked when her uncle arrives for her funeral instead.
A guest is found murdered and her hopes of happiness dwindle. Can Loveda connect a string of threatening letters, a one-legged madman, a dead pocket watch, and a motorbike crash before her time runs out?
Will she be married—or buried?

GREAT READ, FAST PACED!
Will Loveda Brown solve the lastest murder, finally marry, or all of the above? – Siawilin, Amazon ★★★★★
Such a great book! I was so glad to find it available through Hoopla, so that I could read it on my Kindle Fire. This series about Loveda Brown’s murder solving solutions back in the early 1900’s is full of twists, turns, humor, romance, and bits and pieces of history about the old west.
Excitement – Doris Brase, Goodreads ★★★★★
Had a really hard time putting this book down to go to bed. It’s a complicated plot involving deceit, murder and kidnapping. All Loveda wants to do is to hire a manager for the hotel so that she can marry and move. So many things happen after the applicants arrive for an interview. I’m not going to spoil the excitement. Instead I will wait impatiently for the next book.
Engaging – Diane O-Kelley, Goodreads ★★★★★
An engaging, entertaining series… loved each and every book. Looking forward to Jolie’s next gift to her readers!
