Once you’ve finally got your book in your hand, it’s hard to know where to go next. Every community has farmer’s markets, conferences, or street fairs where authors are welcome to peddle their wares. San Diego has several and the following list includes both the general Southern California area and larger genre/writerly events you may be interested in attending.

If you investigate local chapters of your genre’s associations (such as San Diego’s Partners in Crime), they usually have shared tables at larger events, also. Libraries and independent bookstores will often host local authors.
